Meet Our Travel Designer: Keri Jenkins
My love of travel began when my husband, our two sons, and I lived overseas in Singapore.
Living there gave us an entirely new perspective on the world. We weren’t simply visiting another country; we were navigating a different culture, trying new things, and figuring out which local foods we actually enjoyed. (For the record, I am still not an adventurous eater. Travel has broadened my horizons, but apparently not my tolerance for mystery ingredients.)
Since then, I’ve traveled extensively, both independently and with my family. My trips have ranged from comfortable and refined to wonderfully simple. I can appreciate a beautiful hotel, a thoughtfully prepared meal, and a well-designed itinerary, but I’m equally happy with a walking path, a family-run inn, and a day spent discovering what lies around the next corner.
More recently, I’ve found myself drawn to adventure travel. There is a particular satisfaction that comes from doing something challenging for yourself, whether that means walking a long-distance trail, navigating unfamiliar places, or saying yes to an experience that is slightly outside your comfort zone. Adventure makes life more interesting, and it gives you a story to tell afterward, preferably one that gets better with each retelling.
Now that I’m an empty nester, I have more time to explore the world and help others do the same. As a travel designer, I bring curiosity, experience, and appreciation for the details that can make or break a trip. I think about the things travelers may not realize they need to consider: how long it takes to get from one place to another, whether a hotel is actually well located, when reservations are essential, and where you can enjoy a memorable meal without needing a second mortgage.
I also know that the best itinerary is not necessarily the busiest one. A well-planned trip should leave room to linger, browse, rest, and change your mind. The goal is not to collect destinations like refrigerator magnets. It’s to create an experience that feels personal and worthwhile.
When I plan travel for my clients, I want them to worry about only one thing: what to pack. And honestly, that is my least favorite part of traveling. I would much rather handle the research, logistics, reservations, and small details that allow you to enjoy the journey without constantly checking your phone or wondering what happens next.
I believe seeing the world is a privilege, and I take the responsibility of planning your time and resources seriously. Whether you’re looking for a sophisticated escape, a simple village-to-village journey, or an adventure that challenges you in the best possible way, I’ll help you create a trip that fits who you are—not someone else’s idea of how you should travel.
You bring the curiosity. I’ll take care of the details.
