Travel Through My Eyes: Tanya Saenz

Travel has always been so much more to me than just getting on a plane and visiting somewhere new. It’s about the experiences, the people, the food, the culture, and those little moments you didn’t plan that somehow become your favorite memories.

I’ve been fortunate to travel to more than 25 countries, and every trip has taught me something. I love seeing the places everyone talks about, but some of my favorite travel memories have come from wandering down a side street, finding a little restaurant, discovering a beautiful hotel, or sitting somewhere thinking, I can’t believe I’m actually here.

The Details Are What I Remember

When I travel, I pay attention to everything.

Of course I want to see the iconic sights, but I also want to know where to have an amazing dinner, which neighborhood is fun to wander through, whether that beautiful hotel is really worth it, and what experience will make the trip feel special.

I love markets, great food, beautiful hotels, local experiences, and finding those places that you might never discover if you were simply following a standard itinerary.

And yes, I’m always taking mental notes for future trips I plan. If I find somewhere incredible, my first thought is usually, Who can I send here?

Travel Is Personal

One of the things I’ve learned through my own travels is that there is no such thing as one perfect trip.

Some people want every day planned. Others want plenty of time to explore on their own. Some travelers will happily spend the afternoon in a museum, while others would much rather be at a winery, on a boat, taking a cooking class, or sitting at a café watching the world go by.

That’s why I believe your trip should feel like your trip.

When I plan travel for my clients, I think about all those little details that I care about when I travel myself. Where will you want to stop for lunch? Is there enough downtime? Are we trying to fit too much into one day? Is there something special nearby that you shouldn't miss?

I want you to experience a destination—not race through it.

There Is Still So Much to See

Even after visiting more than 25 countries, my bucket list seems to get longer instead of shorter. There will always be another place I want to see, another culture I want to experience, and another trip I’m excited to plan.

And I think that’s one of the best things about travel.

There is always somewhere else to go.

So whether you're dreaming about a destination you've wanted to visit for years or you simply know you're ready to go somewhere, I’d love to help you create a trip filled with the kind of experiences you'll still be talking about years later.

Let’s get your bucket list checked off.
